Los Angeles visual artist Lauren Halsey is set to transform the Hollywood Bowl into an immersive artistic experience this week, coinciding with her 'emajendat' takeover on Tuesday, September 29, 2026. The event features a headline performance by Erykah Badu and The Alchemist, who released their collaborative album 'Before the World Blows' in August.
Additional performers include DJ Pee Wee, Flea of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and the Charles Gaines Collective. Halsey's vision for the Hollywood Bowl grounds includes interactive activities like ping pong, mini golf, and airbrushing, alongside sculptures and photo opportunities.
In conjunction with the takeover, Halsey and clothing brand AGOLDE have launched a limited capsule collection. This collection, available at AGOLDE's Melrose Place store, features one tee and two sweatshirts. All proceeds from the sales will directly support Halsey's sister dreamer project based in South Central.
