Nahla Aubry Defends Mom Halle Berry in Custody War

Nahla Aubry, daughter of actress Halle Berry, has publicly supported her mother amidst a severe custody dispute with ex-husband Olivier Martinez. The 18-year-old submitted a declaration to the Los Angeles court, unequivocally denying allegations that Berry abused her younger brother, Maceo Martinez.

In her statement, Nahla described Berry as a devoted parent who always prioritized her children. She asserted that she never witnessed any form of physical abuse from her mother towards Maceo, nor any racially insensitive remarks. Nahla emphasized her mother's consistent presence and support in her children's lives, while acknowledging that Berry could be strict but never abusive.

The legal battle intensified when Olivier Martinez accused Berry of physically assaulting their son, Maceo, in September 2026. Martinez claimed Berry struck Maceo during an argument, and has sought sole legal and physical custody. A judge granted him temporary primary custody, limiting Berry's parenting time pending further court hearings.

Halle Berry has vehemently denied all accusations, characterizing the interaction as harmless rough-housing. Her legal team contends the claims are false and misleading. Berry has also accused Martinez of attempting to damage her relationship with their son and seeks to restore their previous 50/50 custody arrangement.
