Berry drew a connection to Gayle King's recent candid discussion about catching her ex-husband, William Bumpus, cheating with a friend in 1990. Berry expressed pride in King for sharing her story, stating, "It has happened to many of us." She found sharing her own experience cathartic, which helped in processing the trauma.
