Halle Berry Cheers New Storm's Debut

Halle Berry is enthusiastically supporting Maya Boyd, who is set to portray the iconic mutant Storm in Marvel Studios' forthcoming X-Men film. Berry, who first brought Storm to life on screen over 20 years ago, shared her high hopes for the 23-year-old actress, stating, "I believe she's going to kill it." The revelation of Boyd's casting occurred last month at D23, where the ensemble cast for the X-Men reboot was unveiled.

Boyd will join a cast including Sadie Sink as Jean Grey and Kit Connor as Cyclops. Berry, reflecting on her own tenure as Storm across multiple X-Men films, views Boyd's casting as a new chapter for the character. "My Storm was my Storm and I wish her so well," Berry commented, emphasizing her eagerness to witness Boyd's unique interpretation rather than a repetition of past performances.

Berry drew parallels to her role as Catwoman, noting that each actor brings their own distinct perspective to beloved comic book characters.
