Slano Film Days, taking place from June 16-20 in the Croatian coastal town of Slano, will host prominent figures Maggie Gyllenhaal and Peter Sarsgaard. This gothic romance, inspired by the classic "Bride of Frankenstein," features a stellar cast including Jessie Buckley and Christian Bale. It follows Gyllenhaal's acclaimed directorial debut, "The Lost Daughter." Gyllenhaal is also slated to preside over the jury at the Venice Film Festival later this year.
The festival program also includes appearances by acclaimed directors Paweł Pawlikowski and Ruben Östlund. Pawlikowski will screen his award-winning "Fatherland," while Östlund will discuss his upcoming feature, "The Entertainment System Is Down." The event was founded by Miro Purivatra, former head of the Sarajevo Film Festival.
