GV Prakash Shifts 'Immortal' Release for Vijay

Actor-composer GV Prakash Kumar has postponed the release of his fantasy horror thriller, 'Immortal.' The film, initially slated for a July 23 release, will now premiere on September 4. This decision comes as a show of respect for the release of Vijay's film, 'Jana Nayagan,' which is also scheduled for July 23. GV Prakash conveyed his best wishes to the 'Jana Nayagan' team on X, stating, "Thalapathy vandha thalli poyi dhaaney aaganum adhuvum one Last time...."

'Immortal' marks GV Prakash's first on-screen collaboration with actress Kayadu Lohar and is directed by Mariyappan Chinna. The movie is described as a fantasy horror thriller predominantly set within a single house. The narrative hints at GV Prakash's character being haunted by a supernatural creature after he attempts to get closer to his neighbor, played by Lohar. The film also features TM Karthik and other supporting actors. Sam CS has composed the music.

Despite the delay, 'Immortal' has completed production and is planned for release in Tamil, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. GV Prakash also has other projects in the pipeline, including 'Mental Manadhil,' 'Idimuzhakkam,' and 'Adangathey,' alongside his continued work as a music composer.
