Actor's Extreme 6000 Calorie Diet for Role
25 Sep
Summary
- Actor gained muscle mass through intense training and 6000 calories daily.
- Transformation occurred over an intense 6-8 week period.
- Consultants caution against replicating celebrity transformations without guidance.

Actor Gurfateh Pirzada recently detailed his significant physical transformation for his role in 'The Revolutionaries,' which necessitated a muscular appearance. He shared that the journey began in January 2025, with an initial state of being lean and weak following a severe flu.
Over a subsequent 6-8 week period, Pirzada engaged in intense training and consumed around 6000 calories daily to achieve the desired physique for his character, Bagha Jatin. He described the process as challenging but something he would readily repeat.
Consultant dietitian Garima Goyal noted that Pirzada's transformation context is crucial. His initial low weight post-illness meant some early gains likely involved recovery of depleted stores, not just muscle. Goyal stressed that a 6000-calorie diet is exceptionally high and not suitable for everyone.
She further explained that while high calories can increase weight, building muscle specifically requires resistance training. The dramatic visual changes seen in short periods, especially after illness, should not set unrealistic expectations for safe physique building in six weeks.
Goyal also highlighted the importance of adequate recovery, including hydration, sleep, and nutrition, to prevent fatigue and injury from high training volumes. Celebrity transformations often have professional support and deadlines, making direct replication without understanding an individual's baseline potentially counterproductive.
