Emraan Hashmi and Genelia Deshmukh are slated to star in the action-packed film Gunmaster G9. This project marks a significant reunion between director Aditya Datt and Emraan Hashmi, who last worked together 20 years ago. Their earlier collaboration on Aashiq Banaya Aapne (2005) has set high expectations for Gunmaster G9.
The film's production is currently in its final stages. Director Aditya Datt shared that an extensive 8-day car action sequence will be shot in Mumbai during May. Following this, the final shooting schedule, spanning approximately 25-26 days, will take place across various locations in Uttarakhand, including Rishikesh and Mussoorie, with a few days in Delhi as well.
Director Datt indicated that roughly 40% of the filming, amounting to 33-34 days, remains. He also mentioned that Emraan Hashmi is simultaneously completing portions of Awarapan 2. The team is aiming for a late 2026 release, but if that proves unfeasible, they will target an early 2027 launch. Post-production will be carefully managed to ensure a quality final product.
