Emraan Hashmi Film Rights Bagged for Rs. 35 Cr+

Distribution powerhouse Pen Marudhar has significantly expanded its portfolio by acquiring rights for two major upcoming films. The company has secured the rights for Gunmaaster G9, a film featuring Emraan Hashmi, Genelia Deshmukh, and Aparshakti Khurana, for a reported sum exceeding Rs. 35 crore. Directed by Aditya Datt, Gunmaaster G9 is slated for release on November 27. Pen Marudhar is confident in its box office potential, especially given Hashmi's leading role and the success of Awarapan 2.

In a separate significant deal, Pen Marudhar has also acquired the Hindi version rights for Rajinikanth's upcoming action film, Jailer 2. This acquisition is valued at over Rs. 15 crore. The previous installment, Jailer, gained considerable popularity in Hindi markets via OTT and satellite releases, paving the way for high expectations for Jailer 2. The film, starring Rajinikanth as Muthuvel Pandian alongside Vidya Balan and Mithun Chakraborty, is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 15 and is expected to perform strongly in national cinema chains.
