8,277 Voices Unite for Bhagavad Gita Record

Chinmaya Mission has set a new Guinness World Record for the most people chanting online simultaneously. During the Chinmaya Gita Samarpanam initiative, 8,277 verified participants collectively chanted Chapter 15 of the Bhagavad Gita, surpassing the previous record of 5,188. This remarkable achievement was part of the year-long Chinmaya Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating 75 years of the Chinmaya Movement.

The initiative saw over 75,000 registrations from more than 70 countries, with more than 32,000 participants joining live sessions. Supported by nearly 1,000 volunteers and technology partner Cisco Webex, the event facilitated seamless online participation. Pujya Swami Swaroopananda highlighted that the record celebrates the Bhagavad Gita's timeless wisdom reaching global hearts, emphasizing shared commitment to its values.

This milestone underscores the Bhagavad Gita's growing relevance in today's interconnected world and Chinmaya Mission's dedication to making Vedantic wisdom accessible. It marks another significant achievement in the Mission's ongoing contribution to spiritual awakening, education, and service, as it marks its 75th anniversary.
