The Guild of Music Supervisors Awards recently celebrated excellence in music supervision and songwriting. Raphael Saadiq's powerful song "I Lied To You," featured in Ryan Coogler's "Sinners," earned the award for Best Song Written and/or Recorded for a Film. Saadiq was further recognized with the prestigious Icon Award for his significant contributions to both music and film industries.
The evening also paid tribute to Robin Kaye, a respected music producer, supervisor, and former Vice President of the Guild, with a posthumous Legacy Award. "American Idol" contestant Alejandro Aranda honored Kaye with a moving performance, adding a personal touch to the ceremony.
