Summary
- Bachman and Cummings now lead The Guess Who after legal victory.
- Niagara Falls show marks first performance under new ownership.
- Band prepares for Caribbean cruise and extensive 2026 tour.

After a protracted legal maneuver, Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings have regained the rights to The Guess Who name. Their first performance as the rightful band occurred on January 31, 2026, at Niagara Falls, Ontario. This marks a significant victory for the songwriting duo behind hits like "American Woman" and "These Eyes."
The band is preparing for a series of 2026 performances, including a stint on the Rock Legends Cruise alongside other notable artists. Bachman described the current situation as "surreal," emphasizing how their songs have become deeply embedded in fans' lives.
The journey to this point involved overcoming a period where a separate iteration of The Guess Who, assembled by original bassist Jim Kale, toured using the band's name. Bachman and Cummings sued Kale's group for $20 million in 2023, leading to a settlement.
The current lineup features members of Cummings' solo band, with Bachman and Cummings at the helm. The setlist celebrates their classic Guess Who material, alongside selected Bachman-Turner Overdrive hits and Cummings' solo work. Cummings, at 78, continues to impress with his vocal performance.
