The long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy returns for its 23rd season on October 15, 2026. Showrunner Meg Marinis shared insights into the upcoming season, noting that while both star Ellen Pompeo and co-star Scott Speedman are occupied with other projects, their presence will be maximized.
Fans are also keen to see the evolution of surgical resident Simone Griffith's relationships. Griffith's budding romance with surgical intern Wes Bryant is set to be explored, following her exit from a love triangle involving surgical intern Lucas Adams. However, Marinis cautioned that Simone's choice might not be as settled as it appears, hinting at potential complications with Lucas Adams still in the periphery.
