Production has officially begun in Sydney, Australia, for "Greyhound 2," the highly anticipated sequel starring Tom Hanks and Stephen Graham. Tom Hanks has also penned the screenplay for this next installment.

The film will see Captain Krause and the Greyhound crew embark on a new mission, extending their wartime efforts from the beaches of Normandy to the Pacific Ocean. Stephen Graham is confirmed to reprise his role as Charlie Cole.

Director Aaron Schneider and producer Gary Goetzman are returning to helm the sequel, a Playtone production from Apple Studios. The production is receiving support from Screen NSW's Made in NSW Fund, which is expected to generate hundreds of local job opportunities. Screen NSW will also provide assistance for post-production, digital, and visual effects.
