Broadcaster Greg James is recovering at home after completing a demanding 1,000km tandem cycling challenge for Comic Relief. The BBC Radio 1 favourite appeared on BBC Breakfast from his bathtub, sharing that he was "really, really sore, and really, really tired" but happy with the success of his ambitious endeavour. His week-long trek, which spanned England, Wales, and Scotland, successfully amassed an incredible £4 million for the charity. Celebrities including Jamie Laing and Prince William joined him on parts of the journey.
James admitted he underestimated the difficulty of broadcasting while cycling, but expressed pride in his team and the awareness raised for those supported by Comic Relief. He also revealed his father, who had recently experienced complications from heart surgery and suffered a stroke, was able to watch his progress. Greg described his recovery in the bath as a way to "regain some feeling" in his sore muscles and hands, a testament to the challenge's physical toll.
