Greg Berlanti, now renowned for creating DC's Arrowverse, previously cast two future Marvel stars in an early TV drama. Before his superhero successes like "Arrow" and "The Flash," Berlanti developed "Everwood," a show that ran on The WB from 2002 to 2006.
"Everwood" centered on Dr. Andy Brown, a neurosurgeon who moved his family to the small town of Everwood, Colorado, following his wife's passing. The series saw Andy's son, Ephram, develop feelings for Amy Abbot, portrayed by Emily VanCamp. Amy's brother, Bright, was played by Chris Pratt.
These actors later achieved significant fame in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Emily VanCamp debuted as Agent 13, Sharon Carter, in "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" and returned in subsequent MCU projects. Chris Pratt gained widespread recognition as Peter Quill, Star-Lord, leading the "Guardians of the Galaxy" films.
