This year marks the final installment of the Greenbelt festival, with its concluding event scheduled to take place at Boughton House in Northamptonshire. The festival, which began in 1974, has been hosted at Boughton House since 2014. Directors announced in September 2025 that the annual gathering would be moving, with future plans remaining open for 2027. Iconic hip hop trailblazers Arrested Development and rock duo The Proclaimers are set to headline the festival's last performance at the stately home.
Joining the lineup will be Welsh singer and activist Charlotte Church, alongside singing coach Carrie Grant and broadcaster Cathy Newman. Greenbelt, originally conceived as a faith, arts, and justice festival, has a rich history of welcoming diverse artists. This year's event will continue its tradition of inclusivity and social consciousness, featuring a "pay what you can" ticket policy introduced post-pandemic. The festival, held over the August bank holiday, offers a unique blend of music, arts, and activism.
