Summary
- John Stewart's Green Lantern will appear in "Man of Tomorrow".
- David Corenswet returns as Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor.
- James Gunn directs sequel, production starts summer in Atlanta.

James Gunn's "Man of Tomorrow," the sequel to 2025's "Superman," has cast a Green Lantern. Pierre, already set to portray John Stewart in HBO's "Lanterns" series, will now join the "Man of Tomorrow" cast. Gunn penned the script and is directing the film, with production slated to begin this summer in Atlanta.
David Corenswet will return as Superman, and Nicholas Hoult reprises his role as Lex Luthor. The story will see them unite against the advanced alien antagonist, Brainiac, brought to life by German actor Lars Eidinger. The sequel will also welcome back many cast members, including Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, and Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher.
Returning heroes include Hawkgirl, portrayed by Isabela Merced, and The Engineer, played by Maria Gabriella de Faria. Pierre's inclusion as Stewart aligns with Gunn's vision for a unified DC screen universe. Stewart, a member of the Green Lantern Corps, fits tonally as both Superman and Brainiac are cosmic beings with extraterrestrial origins. Pierre's debut as Stewart occurs in "Lanterns," DC Studios' first live-action series, premiering in August.
