Kid's Tall Tale: Is Grandpa a Superhero?

In Hoshiyarpur, young Dipu befriends Laddu and, to impress his classmates, fabricates a story about his grandfather being a superhero with alien-fighting abilities. This tale sparks immense curiosity among his peers. The film, a rare children's offering from Bollywood, centers on Dipu's struggle to maintain this elaborate lie, as his grandfather, Jagdish Chandra, is actually elderly, frail, and easily frightened.

Director Manish Saini presents a novel story with delightful moments, though the screenplay is occasionally disjointed. Performances, particularly from Jackie Shroff as the grandfather and Shivanssh Chourghe as Laddu, are endearing.
