Grandmother Wins $31,900 on Wheel of Fortune, Narrowly Misses Bonus Round

On Thursday, October 2, 2025, Eve Kyle, a grandmother of two from Detroit, Michigan, appeared on Wheel of Fortune and had a highly successful game. Kyle competed against A.J. Martinez from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Chris Edwards from Highland, Illinois.

Kyle was on a roll throughout the game, solving the second toss-up puzzle and later earning $10,400 by solving the "Desk Decorating Competition" puzzle. She also solved the "Crossword" puzzle and the prize puzzle, "Next Stop Montreal!", winning a trip to multiple cities in Canada. By the end of the game, Kyle had amassed a total of $27,900.

In the final round, Kyle added an additional $4,000 to her total by solving two out of three Triple Toss Up puzzles. Her competitors, Martinez and Edwards, managed to solve the remaining puzzles, but Kyle emerged as the night's big winner with a total of $31,900.

However, Kyle's luck ran out in the Bonus Round. Despite being given several letters to help solve the puzzle, she was unable to figure out the final two words, which turned out to be "I Have a Wacky Idea." While she missed out on the additional $45,000 prize, Kyle still considered her appearance on Wheel of Fortune a "dream come true."
