In November 2025, Grammy-winning pop star Kim Petras released a new music video for her single "Freak It." The video, which Petras self-funded, was filmed during an impromptu night of clubbing in Paris.
Petras had initially released the track in July 2025, but her friend and creative director-makeup artist Loftjet convinced her to shoot a video while she was in Paris for Fashion Week. The video, which includes fan-captured footage, was filmed at Les Bains club, where Petras and her friends "really partied" and had an "insane" and "freaky" night.
The pop star and her crew stayed out until 6 a.m., but Petras still managed to attend a runway presentation the following day, despite the hangover. "I had another fashion show to go to, so it was just pulling through," she says. "But I feel like I'm pretty good at being hungover and still doing my job and posing and stuff."
Petras, who has always found inspiration in Paris, sees the city as a hub for the fashion and music industries that have embraced her. As she prepares her next album, the artist continues to play with her pop star persona, blending her creative control with a desire to be a "hot dumb bimbo" on stage.
