Grace Kelly's Fairytale Wedding and Royal Life

Grace Kelly, a renowned Hollywood actress, transitioned from screen stardom to royalty at age 26 when she married Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956. After graduating from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in 1949, Kelly's film career included roles in "High Noon" and "Rear Window," earning her an Oscar for "The Country Girl."

Kelly met Prince Rainier at the 1955 Cannes Film Festival, leading to their engagement announced on December 28, 1955. Their wedding ceremonies took place on April 18 and 19, 1956, per civil and religious rites. The iconic wedding gown, a gift from MGM, was made of antique Brussels lace and pearls.
