Gorillaz have unveiled "Damascus," a vibrant new single from their highly anticipated ninth studio album, The Mountain. This international collaboration, recorded in diverse locations including Damascus and New York, features the distinctive sounds of Syrian artist Omar Souleyman and rapper Yasiin Bey. The track offers a glimpse into the expansive sonic landscape promised by the album, set for release on February 27, 2026.
The Mountain is poised to be a rich tapestry of sound, featuring a lineup of impressive collaborators and poignant tributes to musical legends such as Bobby Womack and Mark E. Smith. "Damascus" joins previously released songs like "The God of Lying" and "The Manifesto" on the 15-track collection. The album will be released on the band's new label, KONG.
To support the album, Gorillaz will embark on The Mountain Tour, commencing with warm-up shows in Bradford, England, on March 13 and 14, 2026, before the official opening on March 20 in Manchester. The tour includes a major headline show at London's Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on June 20, 2026, marking their largest home performance to date.
