Fangoria Studios has announced a new original genre project, the horror short film "Goodbye, Monster." Described as a blend of empathy and genre craft, "Goodbye, Monster" follows a 12-year-old boy's final encounter with the creature lurking beneath his bed. The production emphasizes practical effects, with creature makeup designed by Dan Crawley, known for his work on "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button" and "Terrifier 3."
Barnett expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting Fangoria's reputation for supporting practical effects and fearless storytelling. The short film is currently in post-production and is slated for its premiere on the festival circuit later in 2026.
