MoistCr1TiKaL's Godslap Animated Movie Set for 2028

Charlie "MoistCr1TiKaL" White has officially revealed the first glimpse of the Godslap animated movie, a project he co-created. The film, based on the popular cyberpunk graphic novel, is currently in production and is anticipated to arrive in 2028. White shared this news on September 3, offering fans a teaser of the hand-drawn 2D animation that will bring the comic's violent world to life.

Produced by Lyrical Animation and White's Meatier Productions, the movie is being directed by Kellan Stover, with Daniel Dominguez and Jacob Robinson penning the screenplay. Powerhouse Animation Studios, acclaimed for their work on Netflix series like Castlevania, is responsible for the animation. This endeavor marks a significant milestone for White, fulfilling a long-held dream of creating an animated feature.

The Godslap comic, launched in 2022, is set in a world where individuals wield supernatural hand-based powers. It has achieved significant success, selling over 100,000 copies worldwide. The narrative centers on an 18-year-old farm boy grappling with his inherited abilities and a corrupt global corporation, exploring themes of destiny and power.

While production is underway, key details such as the voice cast, distributor, and an exact release date beyond 2028 remain unconfirmed. This cinematic adaptation represents a major step for White beyond his streaming career, with further updates expected as the project progresses.
