Panaji came alive on February 14th, 2026, with the much-anticipated Carnival parade, a vibrant spectacle of colors, masks, and dazzling decorations.
The event welcomed King Momo and numerous colorful floats, promising a period of fun and entertainment. Groups who had prepared for months finally displayed their creativity and talent along the parade route.
The procession began at Santa Monica Jetty and concluded at Kala Academy. This route provided spectators with a journey through Goan culture, highlighting the participation of locals and visitors alike.
One notable participant, Raul Pereira from Quepem, has been part of the Carnival floats for 28 years, this year focusing on showcasing Goan occupations. Visitors like Shubham Pramanik from Pune described the experience as "the experience of a lifetime," marveling at the energy, colors, music, and creativity of each float.
