Production is officially underway for Gnome Alone: Game of Gnomes, the sequel to the popular 2017 animated family movie. Director Peter Lepeniotis is returning to write and helm the project, which is being produced by SC Films International. This film is the first under a new multi-year agreement between SC Films, SiXiTZ Studios, and Magieva.
The narrative of the sequel involves characters Chloe and Liam venturing into the past to protect mankind from conflict and the threat of Troggs, supported by their gnome companions. The production is being shared between California and Toronto, with SiXiTZ Studios handling animation using advanced technology developed with Magieva.
The original Gnome Alone achieved worldwide theatrical success, with Netflix distributing it in North America. This sequel aims to build on that success, with director Lepeniotis describing it as the "biggest canvas this world has had" yet.
SC Films International will be presenting this animated feature at the upcoming American Film Market, alongside other projects like Girl in the Clouds and Zsazsa Zaturnnah.
