The acclaimed musical duo Gnarls Barkley, comprised of CeeLo Green and Danger Mouse, is making a highly anticipated return. Their new album, titled 'Atlanta,' is scheduled for release on March 6, marking their first studio project in 18 years. The lead single, "Pictures," has been unveiled today, February 25, serving as the pair's first new studio output since 2006.
"Pictures" is deeply personal, drawing inspiration from CeeLo Green's childhood experiences riding Atlanta's MARTA public transit system. Green recalled riding the trains alone for hours during his school days. While Gnarls Barkley's last album was 2008's 'The Odd Couple,' both artists have remained active individually.
Danger Mouse has produced collaborative albums with artists such as Sparklehorse and Black Thought, releasing 'Cheat Codes' in 2022. CeeLo Green has released his own solo albums, including 'CeeLo Green is Thomas Calloway' in 2020, and also served as a judge on 'The Voice.'
