On September 28th, 2025, the International Academy of Television Arts and Sciences announced the nominees for the 53rd International Emmy Awards. This year's ceremony is set to be the most globally diverse yet, with 64 contenders across 16 categories representing a record 26 countries.
"This year's nominees reflect the global strength of our industry," said International Academy President and CEO Bruce L. Paisner. The United Kingdom leads all countries with 12 nominations, followed by strong showings from Argentina, Australia, Brazil, and others. Global streaming platform Netflix also made a strong impression, securing 5 nominations including for the series "Love is Blind: Habibi."
Nominees will gather in New York City from November 21-23 for the International Emmy World Television Festival, featuring panels, presentations, and partner events. The winners will then be announced at the prestigious International Emmy Awards Gala on November 24th, where the global television community will celebrate the remarkable achievements of this year's honorees.
