Armani Biopic: Fashion Icon's Life Hits Hollywood

Filmmaker Bobby Moresco, known for 'Crash,' is set to direct a biopic about the influential designer Giorgio Armani. Titled 'Armani - The King Of Fashion,' the film will chronicle the life and career of the Italian icon, who passed away in September at 91. Moresco is also penning the script with his daughter.

The biopic promises to delve into Armani's transformative impact on modern fashion, from redefining power dressing to building a global empire now valued at over $10 billion. His deep connection with Hollywood, marked by iconic costumes for films like 'American Gigolo' and countless red-carpet appearances, will also be explored.

Interestingly, the film's production might take place in Hungary rather than Italy. Producer Andrea Iervolino cited financial and administrative hurdles within Italy's production system, as well as concerns from American banks and investors regarding tax credit policies, as reasons for considering an alternative location.
