On October 4th, 2025, beloved "Gilmore Girls" star Lauren Graham was honored with a star on the prestigious Hollywood Walk of Fame. The ceremony was attended by the show's creator, Amy Sherman-Palladino, as well as several of Graham's former co-stars, including Kelly Bishop, Matt Czuchry, Scott Patterson, and Yanic Truesdale.
In her speech, Graham reflected on the polarizing reaction to the 2016 "Gilmore Girls" revival, which continued the story of the Gilmore family following the death of patriarch Richard, played by the late Edward Herrmann. Graham said she "was having the time of her life" working on the revival and felt the episodes were "really beautiful." However, she admitted she did not "exactly understand why" the finale was so divisive among fans.
