Gilmore Girls Fans Divided Over Polarizing Finale 25 Years Later

This year marks the 25th anniversary of the beloved TV series Gilmore Girls, and the show's enduring popularity is evident in its continued high viewership each fall. Last month, stars Alexis Bledel and Lauren Graham, who played the iconic mother-daughter duo Rory and Lorelai Gilmore, reunited onstage at the Emmys to honor their acclaimed show, despite it never receiving the coveted award during its original run.

The last time the two actresses appeared together on screen was in the 2016 Gilmore Girls revival, A Year in the Life, which left many fans divided over its controversial ending. Graham, who played Lorelai, admits she is still confused by the mixed reviews, as she had no doubt the return to Stars Hollow with the original cast and creator would be well-received.
