Actress Avantika Vandanapu, who portrays Abby Chilukuri, shared her enthusiasm for exploring her character's evolution. Vandanapu noted that while season one focused on Abby's ambition, she was eager to delve into how Abby would balance her career with her personal life, particularly within the context of the New York dating scene.

The character Abby Chilukuri was involved in romantic plotlines, notably a connection with actor Austin Blanchett. This relationship began when Abby, an aspiring fashion stylist, secured Austin as a client, having previously worked for her former boss Vanessa Hsu. However, the romance eventually waned, leading Austin to end his professional and personal ties with Abby.
