Ghosts Cast Shake-Up: What's Next?

Ghosts is undergoing notable cast adjustments and plot twists as it enters its sixth season. The premiere episode on October 29th addressed the absence of Rose McIver, who portrays Sam, following her off-screen arrival of a child. Ben Feldman, previously a recurring figure, now has a more prominent presence.

Rebecca Wisocky, who plays Hetty, shared insights into how the show is managing McIver's temporary departure. She praised McIver as a "fearless leader" and expressed the cast's solidarity, noting their close friendships have helped them "rally in her absence." Wisocky also highlighted the fun dynamic emerging with the "two ghost dads" vibe between Kyle and Jay.

The series, based on a British original and premiering in 2021, follows a couple who inherit a manor and gain the ability to see ghosts after an accident. A recent storyline twist suggested Pete might depart, but the season 6 premiere concluded with his return, albeit with complete amnesia about his time as a ghost.

Wisocky described Pete's memory loss as a "juicy and wonderful gift" for the actor, creating an intriguing "post-Pete world." She anticipates many questions arising as Pete attempts to regain his identity, with the other ghosts influencing his recollection.

Regarding her own character, Wisocky expressed confidence that Hetty's story will continue to expand in season 6, with potential explorations into her past relationships and the history of the Woodstone Mansion. She hinted at numerous untold stories connected to the house's construction and its hidden secrets.
