The Ghost of Tsushima: Legends anime has unveiled its first teaser trailer, confirming a 2027 premiere on Crunchyroll. Developed by Kamikaze Douga, the studio behind Batman Ninja, the series is directed by Takanobu Mizuno and written by Nitro Plus's Satoshi Maejima and Gen Urobuchi.
The teaser's visuals, including red leaves and ink drawings, strongly evoke the aesthetic of the original game. It promises to follow the narrative of the first Ghost of Tsushima, which centers on a samurai defending his island from a Mongol invasion.
The anime will draw from the co-op mode's elements, featuring four distinct character classes. Three of these, the Ronin, Hunter, and Assassin, are highlighted as the anime's main characters, while the Samurai class appears to be absent from the core cast.
