Geri Horner appeared demurely at Westminster Abbey on Monday for the annual Commonwealth Day Service of Celebration, supporting King Charles. The singer, 53, accompanied by her husband Christian Horner, delivered a reading to the congregation. Her attire, a chic white ankle-length dress and fascinator, marked a significant departure from her iconic Ginger Spice image.

Following the service, Horner offered King Charles a polite peck on the cheek, a reserved gesture contrasting with her previous playful interactions. Horner and the King share a long acquaintance, with the singer having served as an ambassador for The Prince's Trust for three decades.

The Spice Girls first met King Charles in 1997, engaging in famously cheeky behaviour. Horner herself once described the interaction where she patted the King's bottom, a moment against royal protocol that highlighted the youthful energy of the group.

King Charles had previously expressed his appreciation for Horner's dedication to The Prince's Trust, even writing to her upon her departure from the Spice Girls. The event also occurred amidst discussions regarding Prince Andrew's status within the royal family.
