Gerhard Zeiler to Receive 2026 International Emmy

Gerhard Zeiler, the president of international at Warner Bros. Discovery, has been selected to receive the 2026 International Emmy Directorate Award. The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced that Zeiler will accept this distinguished honor at the 54th International Emmy Awards Gala. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 23 in New York City.

With more than thirty years of experience, Zeiler has held numerous senior leadership roles across influential media organizations. His career includes significant tenures as secretary general of Austria's public broadcaster ORF, CEO of RTL Group, and President of Turner Broadcasting System's International group. His leadership was instrumental in the international expansion of HBO Max.

In his current capacity, Zeiler has overseen the integration of WarnerMedia and Discovery's international operations. He has played a key role in expanding HBO Max to over 130 countries. The International Academy recognized Zeiler for his extensive contributions to shaping the international television industry through periods of significant change and for his deep appreciation of creative talent.
