In October 2025, Georgina Chapman, the 49-year-old fashion designer, is facing foreclosure on her $2.5 million mortgage. According to legal documents, Chapman defaulted on the property's mortgage in 2024, failing to make the required monthly payments of $9,114.58.
The foreclosure notice comes four years after Chapman's divorce from Harvey Weinstein, 73, was finalized in 2021. The former couple, who share two children, separated in the wake of the #MeToo scandal in 2017, when several women accused Weinstein of sexual misconduct. Weinstein is currently serving a 23-year sentence in a New York prison.
In addition to the mortgage issues, Chapman is also being sued by the board of her apartment building for $7,898.67 in owed dues. The financial troubles have mounted for the designer since her high-profile divorce from the disgraced movie producer.
