A mixing desk that once belonged to pop superstar George Michael is now a centerpiece at a recording studio in Shropshire, UK. Discovered by studio owners Anthony Shorter and James Revitt, the desk was purchased second-hand and later identified as Michael's by a technician. The studio, located in Leebotwood south of Shrewsbury, also houses other music memorabilia.
Shorter and Revitt, who run Moose Records, aim to provide affordable studio time for emerging artists. They plan to seek funding from the Arts Council to support this initiative. The idea for the label originated from Shorter's stepdaughter, singer Macy O.
Adding to the remarkable connection, the team at Moose Records has been invited by the George Michael Foundation to visit the late singer's former home for a songwriting retreat. A unique clause in their visit involves swimming in the iconic pink flamingos featured in Michael's 'Club Tropicana' music video.
