Gemma Owen Ditches Love Island for Presenting

Gemma Owen, who gained fame at 19 on the 2022 Love Island summer series, is now pivoting her career. At 23, she is the focus of the family's new Prime Video documentary, 'Meet the Owens,' which delves into her father's horse racing business.

Although the show provided a 'brilliant platform,' Owen has expressed a desire to pursue different avenues. She is now directing her energy towards presenting and horse-riding, having previously competed internationally for Great Britain in dressage.

Her adult sporting career is also advancing, with a recent fourth-place finish in the 2026 Markel Magnolia Cup. The documentary also features her father, Michael Owen, his wife Louise, and their other children, Jessica, Emily, and James, detailing their various aspirations and the challenges of running a horse racing operation.
