Actor Gaurav Gera on Aditya Dhar: 'Intellectually Sorted'

Actor Gaurav Gera recently shared his positive experiences working with director Aditya Dhar on the blockbuster film 'Dhurandhar'. Gera described Dhar as one of the most calm, evolved, and intellectually sorted filmmakers he has encountered. He contrasted Dhar's serene directorial style with the often loud and high-pressure environments found on other film sets.

Gera recalled feeling a personal connection to Dhar's public statements about overcoming industry doubts, feeling as though the director was speaking directly to him. He extended his admiration to Dhar's wife, actress Yami Gautam, characterizing both as grounded individuals with clear thought processes.

A standout moment for Gera occurred during the shooting of 'Dhurandhar' when he observed Dhar casually scrolling on his phone amidst the massive production. When asked about potential tension, Dhar reportedly smiled and stated, 'I have a great team; I have nothing to worry about.'

This composed demeanor is a significant departure from Gera's past experiences with 'chillam chilli' or abusive directors. He noted Dhar's tendency to always smile, speak softly, and credit his teammates on social media. The films 'Dhurandhar' (released December 5, 2025) and 'Dhurandhar: The Revenge' (released March 19, 2026), starring Ranveer Singh, have since broken multiple box office records.
