Lionsgate Premiere will release the thriller "The Gates" in select theaters on March 13. This marks writer-director John Burr's second feature film.
"The Gates" centers on three college students, Derek, Kevin, and Tyon, whose road trip takes a perilous turn. They enter a secluded gated community via an ill-advised shortcut and become entangled after witnessing a murder.
As the night unfolds, the students are pursued and blamed for the crime. The perpetrator, a cunning patriarch played by James Van Der Beek, manipulates the community and its residents.
