Garth Brooks Rewinds to '90s Glory on Tour

Garth Brooks has ignited his Blame It All On My Roots tour in Indianapolis, transporting fans back to the zenith of his '90s career. The opening night in Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday, August 20, 2026, showcased a deliberate revival of Brooks' colossal 1996-1998 world tour. Every detail, from the stage's set design to the lighting rig and the iconic spinning drum pod, has been faithfully reproduced.

Brooks adhered to a nostalgic setlist, performing only songs released up to 1997, eschewing newer material. He made a dramatic entrance, rising through a grand piano to sing the opening lines of "The Old Stuff." Many band members have been with Brooks since the '90s, though his signature colorful western wear shirts were replaced by a simple black shirt for the opening night.

The country music superstar is currently recording each performance for future release. Following his dates in Indianapolis, the tour is scheduled to continue to Denver, Rosemont, Illinois, and Washington, D.C. Brooks continues his career-long practice of announcing tour stops one at a time. All tickets for the tour are set at a price of $154.
