The film 'Dhurandhar' has ignited a pop-culture storm, with the character Rehman Dakait becoming a viral sensation, even eclipsing the lead actor. Audiences are captivated by the portrayal of this feared gangster, famously known as 'Lyari's Robinhood.' However, this depiction is challenged by Noreen Aslam, wife of the late police officer Chaudhry Aslam.

Noreen Aslam asserts that Rehman Dakait's influence was confined to a specific locality and he was not the all-powerful don depicted in the movie. She claims he was insignificant compared to her husband, Chaudhry Aslam, a highly respected and feared police officer. While Rehman Dakait committed heinous crimes, including the murder of his own mother at age 19, Aslam's wife argues his notoriety was exaggerated.

Rehman Dakait, born in 1975, met his demise at age 34 during a government crackdown on Lyari in August 2009, in a shootout with Karachi police.
