GammaTime & Idilio Unite for Spanish Micro-Drama
25 Feb
Summary
- Two micro-drama platforms forge a co-financing pact.
- They will produce five original Spanish-language vertical series.
- The partnership aims for global distribution and LatAm/US audiences.

Micro-drama platforms GammaTime and Idilio have entered a significant co-financing and production agreement. GammaTime, founded by former Miramax head Bill Block, will collaborate with Idilio, the Latin America-focused platform established by TV personality Gabriela Tafur.
This strategic alliance is set to co-produce five original Spanish-language vertical series. These productions will be developed natively in Spanish, with a focus on popular genres such as Romance, Telenovela, and Crime Thrillers. The aim is for these series to achieve global distribution.
The partnership offers Idilio a direct pathway into the U.S. market, following its launch in September 2025. For GammaTime, this deal represents an expansion following a successful $14 million seed round in October 2025 and a recent library partnership with Spikes Studio.
Both CEOs highlighted the vast opportunity for Spanish-language content within the micro-drama sector. They anticipate that the combined resources and expertise will create world-class content appealing to both Latin American and U.S. audiences, providing a global stage for Latin American stories.
