Galaxy's Edge Returns to Original Trilogy Era
15 Jan
Summary
- Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will debut new original trilogy elements in April.
- Classic characters like Han Solo and Darth Vader are arriving.
- Millennium Falcon ride gets a new mission in May.

Starting this April, Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge will undergo a major transformation, moving its setting and characters to align with the original "Star Wars" trilogy. This change reflects a significant shift from its initial focus on the sequel trilogy.
The planet Batuu will now be set during the era of "Return of the Jedi" and "The Mandalorian," introducing classic characters like Han Solo and Darth Vader. New adventures will also feature the Mandalorian and Grogu, with the "Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run" ride receiving a "Mandalorian"-themed mission in May.
While "Rise of the Resistance" and Rey will remain, the park's aesthetic and music will be updated to reflect the original trilogy. This strategic overhaul aims to draw in a broader audience by embracing the franchise's foundational era.
