Sidibe, speaking on the One54 podcast on Wednesday, found the moment peculiar, especially given she had previously met Hilton and even had a business meeting at Hilton's home.
Sidibe expressed that while she has never met Lizzo, the repeated confusion with other Black women, particularly when it involves assumptions tied to their appearance, feels "weird and tinged with racism." She also found it strange that Hilton referred to her by her character's name, suggesting a lack of recognition of her actual identity.
