Summary
- Police called twice over alleged unwelcome guest at funeral
- Dancer's girlfriend claimed she was assaulted by family members
- Footage shows police arriving at the funeral

On September 30, 2025, Joshua Allen, a former contestant on the reality TV show "So You Think You Can Dance", tragically passed away at the age of 36. His funeral, held on November 8, 2025, was marked by a series of disturbances that required the intervention of local police.
According to the Fort Worth Police Department, officers were called to the funeral on two separate occasions in response to reports of an alleged unwelcome guest. The first call was made regarding a "disturbance where a person was on scene that certain parties did not want on scene," though "other parties...did not have issue with the person" being present.
The second call, made over an hour later by a third-party caller, reported the same issue. Police then arrived at the funeral and "stationed themselves inside" until the service concluded. One person was "transported to a local hospital" but was "cleared upon... arrival," though the police spokesperson had "no details as to what the medical call was in reference to."
Joshua Allen's father, Eddie, claimed that the person the 911 calls were about was Joshua's girlfriend, who was allegedly "assaulted" by members of the dancer's mother's family as she tried to say goodbye to his body. Eddie stated that the girlfriend "came in peace" and had "direct permission" from Joshua's mother to attend the open-casket funeral.
Footage allegedly taken at the funeral showed a woman leaning down close to Joshua's casket, at which point several people stood up and approached her, seemingly to get her away from his body. The footage also captured the arrival of the police.
