- Festival aims to foster creative and business collaborations.

A new French IP Market is set to debut at the Red Lorry Film Festival in Mumbai, India, from March 13-15, 2026. This platform is designed to bring French scripted content to Asian screens, connecting rights holders from France with buyers across India and Southeast Asia. The market's objective is to facilitate the development of local versions of French film, television, animation, and digital properties.
Backed by France's Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs and the Institut français, the marketplace emphasizes direct interaction through curated pitches and meetings. Fifteen French companies, spanning cinema, television, animation, and publishing, will present their catalogs. This initiative responds to a growing demand in the region for established content that can be reimagined for local markets.
Festival director Ashish Saksena stated that the French IP Market aligns with the festival's goal of being a significant industry platform for Asia. Mathieu Béjot of the French Institute in India added that the partnership aims to foster creative and business relationships, showcasing the adaptability of French intellectual property in one of Asia's most dynamic content markets.
