Fred again.. has unveiled USB002, the latest addition to his ambitious "infinite" album project. This release expands on his established sound with contributions from artists such as Floating Points and Danny Brown, offering a dynamic journey through contemporary dance music.
The project deviates from conventional album cycles, adopting a digital-first, continuously evolving format. Presented as a sprawling track dump, it aims for hyper-shareability and caters to Gibson's prolific creative pace.
This innovative approach positions the "USB" as a distinct album format. While the concept of gradually releasing music is becoming more common, Fred again..'s iterative model offers a novel promotional strategy for DJs.
